Resources: The Mentoring Program

Incoming students are given names of graduating students so that they might affiliate themselves with the senior students in an effort to inform themselves about the practical application of the various aspects of the program. To this end the mentorship program was instituted by the president of the MFT club and acts as a liaison service, facilitating access to graduating students and program alumni best qualified to assist incoming students with their informational needs.



The Top Ten Things Student Interns Should Never Say To Their Clients:

10."Actually, you two are my first clients."

9. "...WOW! You really do have problems!"

8. "Get a life!!"

7. "It's all your fault!"

6. "No, actually I've never heard a story as bad as yours."

5. "Look Kid, if you don't calm down, I'm going to tie you to the chair."

4. "No wonder your kid is crazy. Look at the both of you!"

3. "You think you have problems, just listen to what happened to me."

2. "Well I haven't actually taken the couple counseling course yet, but I do have a boyfriend for eight months."
