The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment of Marriage and Family Therapists is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations in the upcoming years. Graduates of the MA in MFT program can enjoy careers in myriad health settings, including:
- Child welfare agencies
- Community mental health agencies
- Hospitals
- Juvenile justice programs
- Private practice
- Substance abuse clinics
A number of graduates of Hofstra’s MFT program have gone on to pursue doctoral work in the field. In addition to working in health settings, MFT doctoral graduates may pursue a career in academia and research.
