The student composition is diverse in nature in that students
of different ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities, are accepted into
the program. Students presently are attracted from the Northeastern
US but there are several students from abroad. Students in the Masters
Degree Program, while not always, generally are graduates from psychology,
social science, or sociology undergraduate programs. Students in the
Professional Diploma and the Advanced Certificate in Sex Therapy are
trained in some capacity as therapists and are representative of the
more experienced clinician. Educators and guidance counselors are
the primary attendees of the Certificate in Family Therapy program.
In
addition to the above listed students, many religious leaders participate
in the MFT programs. Several Deacons, Rabbis, Nuns and Priests have
graduated from the Programs. Other professionals who have attended
the program are: attorneys, dentists, social workers, psychologists,
and mental health counselors.
