International students attending Hofstra enjoy all the benefits of the American system of higher education at a selective, private, campus community that values diversity and promotes cross-cultural understanding. Our student body is multinational and participates in a wide range of academic, social and cultural pursuits. We currently enroll international students from more than 65 different countries. Hofstra's commitment to international students is evidenced by the availability of international student organizations, study abroad programs, international events, lectures and special services.

Our international students find it easy to develop a sense of community, school spirit and a feeling of belonging. Located on Long Island, New York, students enjoy easy access to the cultural center of the world - New York City. In addition, they benefit from the wide array of internship opportunities in New York City and take advantage of the museums, Broadway shows, concerts, etc. Hofstra's suburban campus is easily accessible, near two major airports (John F. Kennedy Airport and LaGuardia Airport), along with abundant public transportation.
