How to Make an Appointment

To schedule an appointment, Student Counseling Services may be reached by telephone at (516) 463-6791. During the academic semester, counseling is available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and for abbreviated hours on Saturday.

If you are a Hofstra University student and experience a psychological emergency during non-business hours, please contact Hofstra's Public Safety department at (516) 463-6789, where an officer can page a crisis counselor immediately or contact the nearest emergency room.

Student Counseling Services is located in the Saltzman Community Services Center, which is on the south side of Hempstead Turnpike, at the Oak Street entrance.
