Preprofessional Programs | Graduate Professional Programs
Programs offered by the School of Education and Allied Human Services are classified as either preprofessional or professional. Preprofessional programs are for students seeking initial teacher certification or certification as a teacher assistant, whether at the undergraduate level or the graduate level. Professional programs are designed for students already certified (provisional or permanent) or experienced as teachers (e.g., in private schools, in the Peace Corps, etc.) and who wish to pursue advanced studies in a specialized field of education.
The School of Education and Allied Human Services also offers minor programs to undergraduate students interested in education as an additional field of study and inquiry. Such programs normally do not meet certification requirements. Consult individual departments for advisement.
In addition, the School of Education and Allied Human Services offers major programs to undergraduate students interested in a variety of areas in human services and health-related occupations.
