From the Chair

Within The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, we're also part of an elite group of academic programs to receive full accreditation from the prestigious Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Our award-winning faculty is of the highest caliber, each averaging more than 20 years of experience in their respective fields. Our journalism faculty have worked at national newspapers, major magazines, leading websites, and network television stations. Our public relations faculty has years of real-world experience within the industry, holding executive positions in agencies, corporations, governments, and nonprofits. Our media studies faculty present their research at international, national, and regional conferences, regularly contribute to scholarly journals, and work as consultants and analysts for media-related companies.
