The Hofstra Percussion Ensemble spent the year in remote masterclasses before eventually rehearsing their chamber music in-person. As a long-term project they also recorded and made a video of Andy Akiho’s Karakurenai over the course of the entire school year. The music was arranged and produced by rising senior, Kailey Tenn (Music Business 2022), and the video was shot and edited by Hofstra Percussion Ensemble Director, Sean Ritenauer. The video features a rap performance by David Ferris (Music Business, 2022) and a saxophone performance by Georgia Shehas (Music Education, 2024).
