Current Accreditations
All Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing programs are recognized by the New York State Education Department’s Office of the Professions.
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master’s degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice program and post-graduate APRN certificate programs at Hofstra University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) – Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Doctorate of Nursing Practice program has been granted specialty accreditation through the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA). The Hofstra Northwell Graduate Program in Nurse Anesthesia provides graduate level curriculum leading to the award of a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia degree.

The Hofstra University Master of Science Program in Cardiovascular Sciences and Perfusion Medicine is a New York State approved program. The Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), 25400 US Highway 19 North, Suite 158, Clearwater, FL; 727-210-2350; https://caahep.org.
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Hofstra University Department of Physician Assistant Studies Program sponsored by Hofstra University. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be September 2026. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.
