Hofstra University

Master of Science
in Engineering Management

These graduate programs and courses are offered by the Long Island, New York campus of Hofstra University.

In successful companies, the professional staff includes not only experts in engineering and experts in management, but also experts in the integration of those disciplines.

Engineers entrusted with leadership roles will require the knowledge of tools not found in many undergraduate curricula. These include analytical and quantitative tools for decision making, including statistical and operations research techniques. Linked with these topics are issues such as marketing, organizational behavior, and quality. They are ultimately integrated in the study of project management and the management of technological innovation.

Coursework addressing all these issues will provide engineers with the tools to lead effectively and manage technology within their companies. The Master of Science in Engineering Management program is designed to provide practicing engineers with the requisite skills to advance to management positions and assess and manage new and existing technologies specific to a company's needs. Successful students normally earn a Master of Science degree through the completion of 35 credits of course work culminating in an industry-based management project.
