M.A. and M.S. in Biology
These graduate programs and courses are offered by the Long Island, New York campus of Hofstra University.

- Are you completing or have you completed an undergraduate degree in biology but feel that you need or want additional knowledge and skills?
- Do you have a special interest in marine and freshwater biology?
- Would you like to learn specific technical lab skills like electron microscopy, cell culture, and/or molecular biology?
- Did you finish your undergraduate studies but still don't quite know what you want to do in biology?
- Do you want to go on for a Ph.D. but are not quite ready to choose a specific sub-discipline in biology?
- Would you like to trace the footsteps of Charles Darwin in the Galapagos?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions then the Hofstra Graduate Biology Program may be a good match for you. We offer MA and MS degrees in Biology with concentrations in cell and molecular biology and marine and freshwater biology.
Graduates with a master's degree pursue professional degrees in the health sciences, continue graduate work at the doctoral level, and find employment as lab technicians for hospitals and companies, and as marine and wildlife specialists for governmental and nongovernmental organizations.
