CENTER FOR CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
Community Engaged Learning
Community engagement is one of the four pillars of the Hofstra 100 Strategic Plan. As part of this commitment, the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) works with faculty and community partners to integrate community-engaged learning into the curriculum.
Community-engaged courses foster reciprocal, mutually beneficial partnerships between Hofstra and community organizations. Through these experiences, students apply their classroom learning to real-world challenges while developing civic responsibility, and community partners benefit from meaningful collaboration and shared outcomes.
