Call with Pride
The Call with Pride program helps raise annual support for Hofstra University while providing students with valuable professional experience and skill development in fundraising, marketing, public relations, business management, and communications.
Through Call with Pride, donors support Hofstra’s schools, student organizations, academic programs, faculty initiatives, technology enhancements, and campus improvement projects. Participation by alumni, parents, and friends through philanthropic support also contributes to measures that influence the University’s national reputation and visibility.
Walk of Pride
The Office for Development and Alumni Affairs offers alumni, supporters, and friends the opportunity to honor students, staff, and loved ones through a special tradition – the Walk of Pride.
Every year, thousands of Hofstra alumni, students, and friends visit James M. Shuart Stadium and the adjacent Libby and Joseph G. Shapiro Alumni House. A distinctive feature of the Stadium Plaza is the Walk of Pride, which is composed of bricks engraved with the names of students, alumni, and friends. By purchasing a brick in the Walk of Pride, individuals leave an enduring symbol of their support of Hofstra University.
Matching Gifts
Many companies offer matching gift programs for employees and retirees who make charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations. If your employer participates in a matching gift program, your contribution to Hofstra University could be doubled or even tripled. Contact your Human Resources department to determine whether your company offers matching gifts and to learn about its guidelines.
To request a matching gift, complete the employee portion of your company’s matching gift form and submit it with your donation. Upon receiving your gift and completed form, Hofstra University will verify the contribution and provide any required documentation to your employer for processing.
