Health Care Information Technology Program

Health Care Information Technology is the intersection of information science, computer science, and healthcare. It deals with the resources, devices, and methods required to optimize the acquisition storage, retrieval and use of information in health and sbiomedicine. Health Care Information Technology tools include not only computers, but also clinical guidelines, formal medical terminologies, and information & communications systems. It is applied to the areas of clinical care, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, public health, and both medical & biomedical research.

Non-Credit Certificate Program Requirements
The Health Care Information Technology certificate program requires successful completion of five (5) required courses and one (1) elective courses.
