Welcome To Actors Workshop 2013

For Girls and Boys Entering Grades 2-5 (Morning Specialty)
For Girls and Boys Entering Grades 6-9 (Afternoon Specialty)

Session 2: July 15 - 26
Session 3: July 29 - August 9

Actors Workshop, which welcomes children of all acting levels, is a unique theatrical experience that allows campers to experience the magic of live theater in a fun, supportive environment. Campers begin by developing acting skills through theater games and improvisation, and tap into their creativity while writing their own original commercials. Actors are offered a choice of performance roles, and campers and counselors collaborate on developing all aspects of all performances. Campers explore all genres of theater from skits to full plays, and choose to perform monologues and scenes from Broadway, films, television, and Shakespearean literature. The final performance is tailored to the interests of our campers in each session. There is a talent show portion of our show during which campers can sing, dance, perform stand-up comedy, do magic etc.

Schedule
Half of the day consists of acting and the other half in a recreation group of 8-10 campers in the same grade and gender for lunch, instructional swim and recreational sports.
