School of Communication Facilities

The School of Communication has state of the art production and post production facilities where students learn current techniques of the communication and media industries. 

The facilities in Dempster Hall have current industry gear that allows for live multicamera video switching and live audio mixing from everything from talk shows to live band performances. As well as the large soundstages in Dempster Hall, WRHU's two production studios serve audiences from Manhattan to Eastern Long Island with a multiformat channel. Across the path in Breslin Hall, the School of Communication has a large high definition screening room and a black box theater.

Post production facilities include several edit rooms and the NewsHub in which to collaborate on projects. Within the NewsHub and our several edit rooms we have Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, ENPS, ProTools, and the Adobe Media Suite.

Students are encouraged to request time to use the post production stations and control rooms for practice and extracurricular production. The forms are located outside room 112 Dempster Hall or online. The very welcoming staff is always available for extra help and assistance projects.
