Join us for an immersive five-day movement laboratory designed to introduce students to the dynamic
and multifaceted world of the performing arts. Participants will engage in daily contemporary
movement classes and repertory workshops while developing technical skill, artistry, and creative
expression. In addition to studio-based training, students will explore the behind-the-scenes
processes of theater and film production, gaining insight into collaboration, rehearsal practices,
and the technical elements that bring performances to life.
Throughout the program, students will also prepare for the many professional pathways available to today's artists, including discussions on training, auditioning, career sustainability, and interdisciplinary opportunities within the performing arts industry. Classes and workshops will be led by Hofstra University's esteemed Drama and Dance faculty, alongside guest artists and industry professionals, offering participants a comprehensive, real-world perspective on pursuing a career in performance.
