The Department of Accounting prepares students to excel in a technology-driven business world. Accredited by AACSB International, the programs blend rigorous coursework with hands-on learning through internships, student organizations, and community engagement. Guided by expert faculty and supported by a strong graduate network, you’ll gain the analytical, technological, and ethical skills to lead across industries.

Hofstra provides accountancy students with the knowledge and technological skills necessary to become successful professionals in a rapidly changing business environment. Gain real-world experience by working with professionals as an intern. Undergraduate students complete an average of two internships, while graduate students complete at least one during their program. Support is available to help secure positions at top companies on Long Island, in New York City, across the United States, and globally — leveraging a strong graduate network; an advisory board of global business leaders; and campus resources, including the Center for Career Design and Development and Graduate Business Career Services.
