Our Hofstra Moments Corrado

Andrew F. Corrado, '92
Masters of Business Administration

As a student in Hofstra’s MBA program, I did not have the same experience at Hofstra as most traditional undergraduate students.  I was working full time and came to school at night running from class to class.  I wasn’t exposed to all of the peripheral activities at Hofstra.  For me, my Hofstra education was all about the classroom activity and conversations with my professors.  That is what I remember most.  It made my experience so much more impactful and relatable to my everyday work.

I have been in banking my entire career.  I have held various roles on the marketing side – right up through Chief Marketing Officer at Green Point BankBut in 2004 I decided to change roles and moved to the production side of banking.  Today I run a group at Signature Bank as the Senior Vice President and Group Director where I co-lead a team of bankers focused on commercial, middle market clients, and private clients across the metropolitan NY area.

I love to see Hofstra grow. I am astounded at the amount of programs and opportunities that we offer.

I am a leader by nature and very driven – some might even call me a perfectionist.  I consider myself very giving.  I enjoy giving back to the community and I am involved in several organizations as well as Hofstra.

As the President of the Hofstra University Alumni Organization, I am able to pursue my passion for mentoring and coaching the world’s next generation of leaders.  I have helped to spearhead programs in the Entrepreneurship department and helped to underwrite our financial literacy programs.  And I am always looking for opportunities to hire the greatest and brightest Hofstra students.

When I think about everything Hofstra has afforded me, it’s a “no brainer”.  Hofstra graduates are part of an incredible network of connected men and women.  And you have the ability to connect with that network.  That’s the reason to give back.  Having access to, and the ability to leverage that network is very important.

I love to see Hofstra grow.  I am astounded at the amount of programs and opportunities that we offer.  This growth has put Hofstra’s name on the map more and more, and I am very proud of that.  So please, join me today and make your Day of Giving gift.
