Bio

Dr. Sledgianowski earned a B.S. in Information Systems and a M.B.A. at Pace University, an M.S. in Accounting at Hofstra University, and a Ph.D. in Information Management at Stevens Institute of Technology.



Prior to joining Hofstra University, Dr. Sledgianowski was an information systems practitioner with more than 20 years of professional experience with various responsibilities ranging from programming, systems analysis and design, database administration, SAP basis administration, and project management.



Dr. Sledgianowski has served as the Hofstra faculty liaison for the SAP University Alliance.



Dr. Sledgianowski is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society.

Accounting information systems, managerial accounting

Research Interests

Dr. Sledgianowski's research interests include the integration of accounting and information technology, implementing XBRL interactive data filing compliance, and decision-making considerations for outsourcing accounting and tax-related activities. She has research published in the Journal of Accounting Education, The CPA Journal, Issues in Information Systems, Journal of Computer Information Systems, and Issues in Accounting Education among others.



She has proceedings published for American Accounting Association annual meeting, Northeast Decision Sciences regional conference, and Americas' Conference on Information Systems.
