INTO Hofstra delivers university-designed Academic English and Pathway programs to support and prepare international students who do not meet the requirements for direct entry for successful academic careers at Hofstra University.
As you prepare to attend Hofstra, here are some items to take care of first.
Obtaining a Student Visa
Once you are accepted to Hofstra University and submit your deposit your application is sent to Office of Multicultural and International Student Programs.
Obtaining an I-20
An I-20 form is an official government document which certifies that a person is eligible to be an F-1 non-immigrant student at Hofstra.
Financial Support can come from a combination of sources in the U.S. or abroad.

Please note that the I-20 Application can be completed at any stage of the application process. However, it is a required form in order to finalize an admission decision.

(required if transferring from a US high school, college or university)
- Affidavit of Support (if financial documents include an account that is not in the student’s name)
- Dependent Information Form (if any dependents will accompany you to the United States)
- Sponsor's Promise of Free Room and Board Form (if a family member of sponsor will be providing you with free off-campus accommodations for the duration of your education program)
