The Center for Civic Engagement

Believing that informed and involved students are more likely to participate in the democratic process, Hofstra University formed The Center for Civic Engagement to encourage students to become active citizens.

The Center for Educational Access and Success promotes academic success through engaging programs and services to effectuate student learning.


The Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Center for Innovation

A venture in which Hofstra faculty will provide technical and engineering expertise to regional businesses and research centers, thereby supporting the region's research-based economy and providing students with valuable real-world experience.


Center for “Race,” Culture and Social Justice

Established at Hofstra University in January 2017 under the auspices of the Provost’s Office in order to promote diversity and cultural awareness in faculty hiring, curriculum, and professional development.


Center for STEM Research

The Center for STEM Research supports science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs in school districts, community colleges, and universities in New York State and nationally.

The Center for the Study of Labor and Democracy (CLD) is a nonprofit research institute that aims to expand public understanding and discussion of important issues facing working people.


Cybersecurity Innovation and Research Center

Hofstra University’s interdisciplinary, state-of-the-art Cybersecurity Innovation and Research Center will train students to detect and defend against cybercrime and create partnerships between industry, government, and education to analyze threats, strengthen network security, and mitigate the economic impact of cybercrime.


The Digital Research Center at Hofstra University

The Digital Research Center (DRC) assists Hofstra faculty in all fields (and collaborators elsewhere) to design and complete projects that provide digital solutions to problems in research, and DRC's Forum sponsors conferences, speakers, workshops, and our annual DRExchange to promote digital communities, scholarship, and critical thinking in the classroom and online.


Hofstra Cultural Center

The Hofstra Cultural Center was founded in 1976 by the late Joseph G. Astman, Professor of Comparative Literature and Languages at Hofstra University, and has evolved into a dynamic instrument for fostering scholarly exchange and intellectual debate.


Hofstra University Museum of Art

The Hofstra University Museum of Art advances knowledge and understanding through experiences with authentic works of art from the world's diverse cultures. The Museum's mission is achieved through collection acquisition and preservation, exhibitions, and interpretive resources.


Hofstra University Bioethics Center

The mission of The Hofstra University Bioethics Center, a collaboration of Hofstra’s law and medical schools, is to strengthen the humanistic delivery of health care and legal advocacy. In order to do so, two great moral imperatives that often clash in America—individual rights and communal solidarity—must be reconciled and nurtured.

The Center for International Financial Services and Markets

The mission of The Center for International Financial Services and Markets is to promote and facilitate faculty and student study in the field of international financial services and markets, and to communicate knowledge and information in this field.


Peter S. Kalikow Center for the Study of the American Presidency

Together with Hofstra's conferences on the American presidency, the Peter S. Kalikow Center for the Study of the American Presidency and the Peter S. Kalikow Chair in Presidential Studies make Hofstra one of the very few institutions in the country with a unique focus on the presidency.


Hofstra Law Institutes and Centers

Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies

The Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies at Hofstra University is an interdisciplinary center for the study of real estate that brings together the expertise of Hofstra’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business and the School of Law, as well as the Institute of Real Estate at Hofstra University.
