Jamel C. Hudson is a faculty member in the Writing Studies and Rhetoric Department at Hofstra University. He teaches public speaking, oral communication, advanced public speaking, and performance studies. Jamel received his terminal degree in education from Regent University. He also possesses a bachelor's and master's degree with distinction in rhetorical studies from Hofstra University. Jamel is constantly presenting in front of a wide array of audiences and has had the opportunity to present his research at conferences such as the National Communication Association Conference and the Mid-Atlantic Writing Center Association Conference. His research interests are education-entertainment, arts in education, character education, writing studies, religious studies, and performance studies. Jamel C. Hudson is also the Executive Director of Empower 1 Self, Inc. As the Executive Director of Empower 1 Self, Inc Jamel C. Hudson travels extensively providing workshops and consultation services on character education, communication education, intercultural communication, implicit bias awareness, and arts in education.Recent Courses Taught
