Hofstra Guest

Wi-Fi is available in every building and many outdoor spaces on campus. Please be sure to check out Hofstra's acceptable use guidelines before using the universities Wi-Fi services.

The 'Hofstra Guest' network is available to university guests and can be used by Hofstra students and employees to connect wireless devices that are not capable of connecting to 'eduroam'. Devices that cannot be connected to 'eduroam', such as gaming and media streaming devices, need to be registered before they are connected to Hofstra Guest. Students and employees should not use 'Hofstra Guest' on their laptops, tablets and moible devices as it provides limited access, with Internet web browsing capability only (HTTP, HTTPS, VPN). Other popular applications such as chat programs(Skype, MSN Messenger, AIM, etc.) and e-mail clients (Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.) will not work on 'Hofstra Guest.
