Center Stage at Hofstra:
Where Campus and Community Come to Perform

Welcome to the John Cranford Adams Playhouse and the Department of Theater facilities at Hofstra University. The Playhouse is a 1,105-seat proscenium theater and the campus’s premier cultural venue, serving both the University and the surrounding community. It hosts a wide range of Hofstra’s theatrical, musical, dance, and lecture events, and, as scheduling permits, is available for rentals by local, national, and international productions, conferences, performing arts organizations, lectures, and school events.
