Graduate Counseling Programs

Chi Sigma Iota

Chi Sigma Iota is an international academic and professional counseling honor society, dedicated to scholarship, academic excellence, and community service. Hofstra's Lambda Nu chapter of Chi Sigma affords its members both personal and professional development, while benefiting the community. Members are encouraged to attend meetings and activities throughout the semester, which may include speakers on such issues as suicide, counseling in a multi-cultural world, counselor licensure legislation, fundraising, and library research. A minimum of 12 graduate level course credits and a GPA of 3.5, or above, is required for membership. Information on upcoming events will be distributed via counseling classes and e-mails throughout the semesters.
