Master of Public Health In Focus: Afrin Howlader, MPH, CHES

Afrin Howlader is 2016 alum of Hofstra University's Master of Public Health program. During her time as a graduate student at Hofstra, Afrin had the pleasure of serving as the Vice President for the Society of Public Health Advocates (SOPHA). With a dynamic background of research, community development and dedication to population health Afrin thoroughly enjoys strategic development and implementation of preventative healthcare programs.

Afrin currently serves as a Project Manager at Island Peer Review Organization (IPRO) at Lake Success, New York and works on several programs that focus on Medicaid Managed Care developments. Many of her roles work to ensure appropriate preventive measures, foster efficient use of resources as well promote value-driven healthcare and transparency.

As a motivated and driven public health professional, Afrin looks forward to serving on the PHAA E-board and taking an active role in the Hofstra community!
