What Does "350" Mean to You? Building a Global Climate Movement 101

The number 350 means climate safety: to preserve a livable planet, scientists say we must reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere from its current level of 400 parts per million to below 350 ppm. The organization 350.org is working to build a global grassroots movement to hold elected officials accountable to the realities of science and the principles of justice. Much of the movement is sprouting up on college campuses across the country. In this session, we will hear from a panel of students and environmental justice activists, discussing everything from the Keystone XL Pipeline Project to hydro-fracking's impact on local communities.
