The Career Center welcomes the opportunity to support all faculty and students enrolled in your coursework. We can engage with you and your students in a variety of ways, and in the past this has included providing interactive experiences that align with your course content (workshops, career assessments, visiting professionals, etc.) and developing course-specific workbooks that guide students through career development processes.
We welcome the opportunity to visit your class or to host them in the Career Lab, which is located in The Career Center in M. Robert Lowe Hall. Please contact us at any time to discuss how we can support your course initiatives.
Career Conversation with Students
We know faculty play an important role in the career development of Hofstra students. Our Career Conversations document may help you facilitate the conversation among students who seek you out for guidance.
We work with hiring managers and recruiters in all industries, including business, communication, health, education, engineering, government, human services, and others. We look forward to working with you to secure employment and experiential learning opportunities for our students and alumni. If you would like to refer an employer to us, please contact us and a member of our team will follow up with you.
Please note our existing employers often times ask for faculty introductions for recruitment purposes. In this case, a member of our team will reach out to you before you receive any contact from an external partner. As such, if any employer approaches you directly indicating they were referred by us, please notify us immediately.
