The Hofstra University campus in Hempstead, New York is alive with academic activity and cultural events throughout the year. Whether you live on- or off-campus as a graduate student at Hofstra, you will always find plenty of things to do outside of your regular classroom activities.

• Join one of the more than 40 clubs for graduate students, or one of the dozens that include both graduate and undergraduate students.
• Enjoy great performing arts, museums, music, lectures, and cultural events on campus.
• Take a short train ride to Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Long Island City, Queens. The Hofstra campus is less than an hour from every New York City attraction you want to catch.  
• Get in on the excitement of Hofstra’s men’s and women’s sports teams, join club sports, or catch a game of professional football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer and more in the New York Metro area.
• Spend a day at one of Long Island’s many beaches, exploring its abundant nature trails, or visiting Gold Coast mansions and museums.
