Hofstra University's School of Health Professions and Human Services enthusiastically hosted a series of events spanning two weeks to commemorate the American Public Health Association's National Public Health Week. Students, faculty, staff, and community members actively participated in thought-provoking discussions and engaging activities addressing crucial topics such as gun violence, food insecurity, maternal health, healthy aging, and mental health. The events also provided interactive experiences in various disciplines including first aid & safety, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech pathology, audiology, and more.

Caregiver Summit Focuses on Changing the Conversation
Hofstra’s School of Health Professions and Human Services held its first Caregiver Summit, co-sponsored by the AARP of Long Island, and the Nassau County Age Friendly Center of Excellence at Glen Cove, as part of November’s National Family Caregivers Month.
