For Campers Entering Grades 2 - 10 Session 1: June 30 - July 11 Session 2: July 14 - July 25 Session 3: July 28 - August 8 Session 4: Not Offered
Modeled after the popular Project Adventure and Outward Bound programs, this camp will teach participants to face mental, physical, and emotional challenges safely and confidently. Personal and social responsibility, trust, effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and cooperation are emphasized as campers sequentially work through ground-level, low-level, and finally high-climbing challenges such as climbing walls and catwalks. With the resulting sense of accomplishment and a newfound recognition that seemingly impossible situations can indeed be overcome, successful adventurists feel like they’re on top of the world! A total of 9 elements are set 30 feet up in the trees to create this full filled, high thrills course. Of course, all campers are hooked into a harness and belayed (supported) by one of our skills staff members.
Schedule: For campers entering 2-5 grade your morning will be in the program that you choose and the afternoon will be in a recreation group of 8-10 campers of the same grade and gender where all campers enjoy lunch, instructional swim and recreational sports. For campers entering 6-10 grade your morning will be in a recreation group of 8-10 campers of the same grade and gender where all campers enjoy lunch, instructional swim and recreational sports, and your afternoon will be in the program that you choose.
