MIN: Minecraft Builders Club (Grades 2 - 5)

Creators unite!
It’s Minecraft mania at Hofstra Summer Camps! Using the groundbreaking tools and systems in the popular Minecraft video game, campers will create and play together in a way they’ve never experienced before! With the addition of Minecraft EDU, Minecraft becomes a virtual classroom where campers will take part in building challenges, create team living spaces, collaborate on a multitude of creative projects, and secretly even reinforce their math, science, and social skills! Working together, campers will learn and make fast friends this summer!

MOD: Minecraft Modding Lab (Grades 6 - 10)

Hack into Minecraft!
Take Minecraft to the next level as you design and code your own features into the game! With the new Datapack modding system, campers will create their own Minecraft mods, complete with custom mobs, blocks, items, texture packs, game rules, and much more! While designing their mods, campers will build up coding skills, 3D modeling skills, pixel art skills, and will gain a much greater understanding and appreciation for the inner workings of this best-selling game.



Schedule: For campers entering 2-5 grade your morning will be in the program that you choose and the afternoon will be in a recreation group of 8-10 campers of the same grade and gender where all campers enjoy lunch, instructional swim and recreational sports. For campers entering 6-10 grade your morning will be in a recreation group of 8-10 campers of the same grade and gender where all campers enjoy lunch, instructional swim and recreational sports, and your afternoon will be in the program that you choose.
