If you are interested in pursuing some of the topics from GOOD FOOD REVOLUTION you may want to sign up for the Fall 2013 First Year Seminar in Sustainability. This course takes up major ideas of sustainability within three major themes: environment, equity and economic development. The course includes a history of the development of the field of sustainability within the context of issues such as energy, water, natural lands, resource conservation, urban and suburban development, food and agriculture, brownfields, environmental justice and equity, green entrepreneurialism and sustainability management. Students will also review the major political and social movements associated with sustainability. The course is highly interdisciplinary in nature, and utilizes lectures, readings, films, websites and a variety of social media.
