My education at Hofstra University has prepared me well for a career in the Medical Physics industry. All the professors through Hofstra University and Northwell Health did a phenomenal job preparing us for all types of careers in Medical Physics. The best part about the program was the clinical training we received. This helped to support everything we learned in the classroom while giving us hands-on experience. This training has been vital to my current position since it gives me an advantage that many don't have in the industry. To be able to understand the physics behind the treatment and have clinical training and experience, allows me to be more well-rounded.
The association with Northwell Health provided me with very important connections. I am fortunate that in my line of work I run into many of the physicists who taught me, and they always seem eager to see how I'm doing. With Northwell being such a large network, I am able to frequently able to network with other physicists. Overall, my education has been key to my success.

My education at Hofstra has given me a solid foundation to begin my career in Medical Physics. In particular, the clinical training gave me a jumpstart on my residency by addressing questions that might not have been adequately explained during on-the-job training. That foundation has given me the confidence that I can tackle future challenges.
I think Hofstra's association with Northwell is key to the program. It allows students to have access to a highly accredited institution with a plethora of technology harnessing advanced treatment and imaging techniques. This access allowed me to see the connection between the information taught in lectures and then apply that knowledge in the clinic.
