The BA in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences prepares students for graduate study in careers in speech-language pathology, audiology, and other sciences.

Undergraduate Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences Programs
- B.A. Major in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences
This program prepares students for graduate study and careers in speech language pathology, audiology, or other sciences. Coursework includes Anatomy and Physiology of Speech Mechanisms, Multicultural Aspects of Communication and Communication Disorders, and Experimental Psycholinguistics.
- Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences (B.A.) and Speech-Language Pathology (M.A.) Dual-degree Program
Earn simultaneous credit toward your undergraduate and graduate degrees. Undergraduate speech majors may be eligible for our new dual-degree program, which can be completed in five and one-half years. We encourage eligible students to apply for this program – it will save them time and money and will put them on a fast-track towards their career in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Minor in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences
The department also offers a minor that requires the completion of 18 semester hours of coursework, under advisement and with the approval of the advisor.
