Sources of Financial Support
Financial Support can come from any combination of the following sources in the U.S. or abroad:
A current bank statement or letter signed by a bank official. The statement must indicate the opening date, and the current balance in U.S. Dollars.
All students are automatically considered for academic merit scholarships only. Please note that an SAT or ACT score must be received for scholarship consideration.
Funds from "Sponsors" (parents, relatives, friends, organizations)
This would include a signed affidavit and a bank statement or other documents verifying the amount available. Please keep in mind that all bank statements must be current (not more than one year old). Sponsors may provide you with support in the form of cash and/or room and board. You may have as many sponsors as needed.
A confirmed personal bank loan.
A copy of Scholarship award letter.
Documentary Evidence Requirements
All documents you give must be:
- No older than one year from the date you intend to begin your classes at Hofstra
- In English
- Shown in U.S. $ dollars
- Original or certified copies of all financial statements. Bank letters may be sent by e-mail. However, an original copy will be required after enrollment.
