Country Specific Credentials

Please see below for the requested academic record Hofstra will require  in order for us to make an admissions decision based on your region.

You will need to submit the original, official documents issued by your school or issuing body. If these are in a language other than English, you will also need to submit an official English translation.

If your region is not listed, please e-mail for country specific information.

All documents can be uploaded into  student portal or submitted directly to  as PDF attachments with your full name and Hofstra ID as the subject.


Required Academic Credential


Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE)

Caribbean Commonwealth Countries

A copy of your Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and/or the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) certificates.

France/Francophone Africa:

A copy of your Baccalaureate examination results.

West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia):

A copy of WASSCE report and scratch card.

South Asia (India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh):

A copy of your Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams after year 10, and/or your Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) exams after year 12.

UK/British Overseas Schools

A copy of your IGCSE/GCSE or O Levels (after grade 10 or 11) and/or AS/A levels
