WELCOME TO THE PRIDE
A healthy lifestyle is not only important for your body, but for your mind as well. At Hofstra, there are a variety of ways that you can stay healthy, both physically and mentally.
We welcome and encourage all current students, employees, faculty, staff, and members to use the campus Fitness Center. All members are required to swipe their HofstraCard to access the facility. We recommend you bring water, a towel, and most importantly a padlock to secure your valuables. Lockers are available in each of the locker rooms and can be used daily.
The Center for Career Design & Development is a team of professionals who put students first. We achieve our vision of empowering all Hofstra students toward meaningful careers and lives through one-on-one appointments for career counseling available in person, via Zoom, and telephone anytime the university is open.
Hofstra University Student Counseling Services provides psychological, vocational, and educational counseling to students in an effort to facilitate meaningful personal growth and the fullest educational development of each individual.
Student Access Services (located in Roosevelt Hall, Room 102) assists students with physical, learning, and psychological disabilities. The staff arrange for appropriate academic accommodations and help students develop the self-advocacy skills they need to succeed at Hofstra and beyond. To utilize resources at Student Access Services, students must complete a self-disclosure form and provide documentation of their disability.
Hofstra University students have FREE, 24/7 access to virtual care services with TimelyCare — the virtual health and well-being platform from TimelyCare, designed for college students. Students do not need insurance to access TimelyCare services. Students have access to TimelyCare services 365 days a year. That means you have access during breaks, after-hours, and any time you need support!
