HOURS: Tuesday - Friday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, noon-4 p.m.
SUMMER HOURS (May 13 - August 31, 2019): Tuesday - Friday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Closed Weekends

Galleries are closed on major holidays during Hofstra University recesses (Monday, March 18, 2019 – Saturday, March 23, 2019), and during exhibition installations.

Emily Lowe Gallery will be closed for installation August 17-September 2, 2019
David Filderman Gallery will be closed for installation: March 11 – March 25, 2019; July 27-August 12, 2019

Directions

By Automobile:
Take Meadowbrook Parkway to exit M4 West (Nassau Coliseum, Hempstead Turnpike West). Continue West on Hempstead Turnpike for six traffic lights. Make a U-turn at the sixth light (Oak Street light) and then take the next right into the University parking lot. Continue to the first stop sign. The Hofstra University Museum of Art (Emily Lowe Gallery) will be on your left.

Head East on Hempstead Turnpike. Go under the first pedestrian bridge and pass the light (Oak Street). Take the next right into the University parking lot. Continue to the first top sign. The Hofstra University Museum of Art (Emily Lowe Gallery) will be on your left.

By Train: Take the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) from Penn Station to Hempstead (last stop on that line). Take taxi to Emily Lowe Gallery, Hofstra University Museum of Art, Hofstra University. The Hofstra Courtesy Shuttle meets most trains and can drop you at the campus. Click here to view the Hofstra Shuttle Schedule and times of operation.

By Bus: Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) provides public bus service serving Hempstead, Hofstra University, Nassau University Medical Center, Levittown, Farmingdale, Melville, Sunrise Mall, Babylon, via Hempstead Turnpike.

RECOMMENDED PARKING:
The Museum has designated parking spaces for off-campus guests directly outside the Emily Lowe Gallery.
During weekdays, visitors to the Museum can also park near Hofstra USA on North Campus and take a University shuttle bus to the Adams Hall stop.
On weekends, parking is available on South Campus immediately outside the Emily Lowe Gallery.

WALKING DIRECTIONS FROM EMILY LOWE GALLERY TO DAVID FILDERMAN GALLERY:
Exit through the main entrance of the Emily Lowe Gallery and make a right onto the walkway. Cross diagonally through Memorial Quad toward the Joan and Donald E. Axinn Library. Walk approximately 50 yards and use the entrance ramp for the Axinn Library. Once inside the building, enter the library on your left and take the elevator to the David Filderman Gallery on the ninth floor. Click here for a map that illustrates this route.
