About the Artist
Kelly Elkowitz is a figurative painter whose works integrate abstraction with the figure, as well as emphasizing construction and found materials. Ms. Elkowitz painted this work for the occasion of the inauguration of Dr. Susan Poser. She is currently a junior fine arts major and political science minor. After graduating from Hofstra, Kelly will continue her work experimenting with art and plans to become a full-time painter.

Meet Dr. Susan Poser
Dr. Poser has, for the past five years, served as the provost and vice chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), a Carnegie Research One university with 16 colleges, including seven health sciences colleges, and over 35,000 students.
