Physics and Astronomy
The department is located in Herman A. Berliner Hall, which opened June 1999. Berliner Hall contains the following departmental facilities:

Partially supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation, includes Celestron telescopes and computerized CCD cameras. The Observatory is located on the roof of Berliner Hall.
Used for faculty research and student projects.
Teaching Laboratories and Advanced Physics Laboratory
Used for classes and faculty-mentored independent research projects by sophomore, junior, and senior physics students.
Undergraduate Computational Research Lab
(Professors Lacey and Levine)
Shared with Chemistry and partially supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation, used for undergraduate instruction. Additional computing resources for students and faculty research are located in Berliner Hall and elsewhere on campus.
