I have been at Hofstra since 1999, both as Part Time Nurse Practitioner, and then Full Time as an Assistant Director since 2001. My background is in health care since 1977, as a Professional Registered Nurse working in critical care units until 1999, when I obtained an Advanced Nursing degree in Adult Health. As an Adult Nurse Practitioner I have worked at Hofstra University, Internal Care office, and a Day Care center for disabled adults.
I am pleased to be in a position to deliver quality health and wellness care to all our students at this great institution of Hofstra University. I strive to provide an environment of support for the growth and learning process of our students so that they can gain the knowledge to become great consumers of health while achieving their academic success. Every moment I spend with a student is a learning moment. I work with a fantastic team of professionals who are all committed to the welfare of our student population.
I was born in southern sunny Italy, and with the support of my amazing husband, two daughters and dedicated to education parents, I was able to achieve a graduate degree from Stony Brook University as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Prior to that I received a BSN degree from St. Joseph's College.
My life is about: Family, Food, and Fun in that order. I enjoy entertaining, cooking, traveling and camping with my family. In the summertime you will find me at a campsite on the beach cooking fresh caught fish. You are all welcome to join in the fun.
