Residence Life

What is the Residence Hall Association?

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a unique student-run organization that exists to improve the quality of life of Hofstra residential students by offering social and educational programs based on students' interests, as well as promoting a safe, supportive and welcoming community.  Part of the RHA mission statement is to aid the Office of Residence Life in maintaining and improving living conditions for all residential students. With this in mind the Residence Hall Association is a body that the University looks to for input on important policy matters relating to the residence halls.

Within the past year RHA hosted Wiener Welcome, Hofstra Halloweentown, Big Bucks Bingo, Siblings Day, Silent Disco, Roll with RHA and a few other events in addition to tabling in the Student Center. Each building also has its own Residence Council which plans programs for their respective halls geared towards their specific population.

General Body Meetings are held Monday at 6:30pm in the Student Center Greenhouse and open to all students. Add us on Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat: Hofstra_RHA to stay up to date on everything happening!

If you would like to become a part of RHA or learn more about it, please contact us at or stop by our office in the Student Center room 242.
