Novia Ramsay

Novia RamsayI'm a Hofstra alumna who arrived at the University as an international student from the island of Jamaica to get my bachelor degree in business management. I worked as an undergraduate student within the division of student affairs and my love for student interaction propelled me to pursue a career in the field.

As the Director of Operations responsible for occupancy management and facilities, I assign all students to on campus housing and work to enhance students experience when participating in all housing selection processes. I oversee special projects to upgrade furniture in the residence halls (room and lounge areas) and often interact with students through work groups or simply having conversations as I walk the residence halls which in term ensures that we are working together to create an atmosphere reminiscent of home.

My husband and I are parents to three young boys and enjoy travelling along with being huge sports fans. Coming from the islands my first love is track and field followed by soccer, baseball and football. My favorite teams are Arsenal, the NY Knicks, NY Yankees and NY Jets.
