First Year Learning Community

Educational experts have found learning communities to promote the academic success and retention of college students. First-year NOAH scholars take courses in writing, mathematics, critical reading and the NOAH Scholars Seminar in addition to other courses during their first year at Hofstra. The program is designed to help scholars develop learning strategies in a collaborative, intimate learning environment where they work closely with faculty.

Learning Resource Center: NOAH scholars have access to their own computer lab that provides students with educational technologies, including laptop computers, software and other resources that promote their academic success.
