Zarb School of Business Dean's Message

Welcome to the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University. The Zarb School just celebrated its 50th Anniversary, a true testament to the dedicated team of faculty, students, alumni and administrators who continue to move the school forward each and every day. This progress has also been recognized through our rankings, as national recognition for Zarb continues to grow every year.

I am extremely proud to be at the Zarb School, during this celebratory time. Over the past year, the Zarb School and the University have launched several exciting business related initiatives, including a dual degree program with Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in China, a Center for Entrepreneurship including an incubator, and a student managed investment fund. Our faculty, staff, administrators and, especially our students, are excited to begin a new chapter in the Zarb School’s history in our new, state-of-the-art 52,000 square foot building, which opened in January 2019 and is equipped with a comprehensive behavioral research in business lab, an enhanced start-up business incubator, and faculty offices in addition to multiple areas for student independent and collaborative study space, as well as lounge areas.

This is certainly an exciting time for the Zarb School but we would not be where we are today, without our dedicated network of over 30,000 alumni. You symbolize the Zarb School's legacy and commitment to the future. We gratefully acknowledge your involvement and support which help us deliver an engaging and comprehensive academic experience.

We look forward to working with faculty, students and alumni as we embark on these major initiatives and create an even more distinctive business education experience. I extend my best wishes to the entire Zarb family and look forward to another successful year in educating the leaders of tomorrow.

With warm regards,

Janet A. Lenaghan, PhD
