This one-week program is designed to build students’ confidence, communication skills, and leadership potential through interactive activities, public speaking exercises, and collaborative projects. Participants learn how to speak with clarity, lead discussions, present ideas persuasively, and work effectively in groups. The program integrates real-world leadership scenarios, debate techniques, problem-solving tasks, and presentation strategies. Students practice speaking in front of peers, receive supportive feedback, and strengthen their ability to think critically and communicate with purpose. By the end of the week, each participant will deliver a polished presentation or lead a discussion on a topic of their choice, demonstrating growth in leadership, confidence, and public speaking skills.

About the InstructorDr. Hanaa Wahba is an experienced higher-education professional specializing in ESL, TESOL, and teacher education. She previously served as the Associate Director of All Academic Programs and Director of ESL Curriculum at Hofstra University. Dr. Wahba currently teaches across several New York institutions, including Hofstra University as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Education; Long Island University as an Adjunct Full Professor in the School of Education; Queens College as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Education; and SUNY Old Westbury as an Adjunct Professor in the English Department. With extensive expertise in curriculum design, multicultural education, and innovative instructional methods, Dr. Wahba brings a student-centered, inclusive, and engaging approach to the Precollegiate Academy.
