In this style savvy course, budding fashion designers of all kinds will learn about the latest trends in the fashion industry as they design their own unique line of garments and accessories! Using both traditional sewing machines and couture, as well as cutting-edge 3D printing and CAD technology, campers will work with color, style, and pattern to create a variety of pieces, such as dresses, shirts, belts, bags, pillows, 3D printed buttons, jewelry, and anything else you could imagine! As campers design and have fun together, they gain a great insight into the growing fashion industry, all culminating in a full on fashionista runway show for invited family and guests, showcasing each camper’s unique finished fashion line!

CDS: Costume Design Studio

Whether seen in TV and movies, the latest Broadway musical, or even New York Comic-Con, the world of costume design has never been bigger, and in this exciting new course, campers will dive into this growing industry as they design their own real line of costumes, props, and accessories! Using a wide variety of modern and traditional tools, such as sewing and 3D printing, campers will design their costumes inspired by their favorite characters in movies and games, famous figures through history, or something completely unique and original! As campers have fun and learn together, they will learn what it takes to be a successful costume designer, and will showcase their finished work at the end of the course for invited family and guests to see!

Half the day consists of Fashion Runway/Costume Design. For the other half of the day, your child is placed in a recreation group of 8-10 campers in of the same grade and gender where all campers enjoy lunch, instructional swim and recreational sports.

Note: There is a $50 surcharge per two-week session for additional materials and staff requirements.
