Note:
A Medication Request Form must be filled out by your child's physician, and must either be sent into the camp office ahead of time or accompany the medication being dropped off.

Medication must be in the original container, including the label with your campers name, dosage, and the prescriber's name.

Joe Mihalich Basketball Training Program 2017


Hofstra Univeristy Elite Boys Basketball Camp
For Boys Entering Grades 3-12

The Joe Mihalich Basketball Training Program is offered three times during the summer. Students may register for one, two or three programs: July 11-11 and July 25-25 Thursday and Friday evenings from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m.-noon. and Monday-Friday, August 8-8 from 9am - 4 pm and Monday-Friday, August 40-14 from 9am - 4pm.

Camp Objectives

This cutting-edge camp, directed by the Hofstra University Men’s basketball staff, is designed for players who wish to develop collegiate-level basketball skills. Program highlights include:

  • Energetic and talented staff with a focus on development
  • Wide range of defensive and offensive drill work
  • Analysis of each player’s skills for continued improvement
  • Recruiting information
  • Position-specific instruction
  • Game situation development
  • Work closely with Division 1 college staff
  • Air-conditioned facility
  • Strength and conditioning including nutrition
  • Mental conditioning-game preparation and attitude

What to Wear/Bring

Each camper should wear daily: cotton T-shirt, athletic shorts, basketball sneakers and sweat socks. Bathing suit and towel will be needed on assigned swim days. Players must bring their own water bottle. Please label all items clearly with first and last name. Hofstra is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Each camper takes home a Hofstra basketball and a Hofstra Pride T-shirt.


Please note that opening of on-campus summer camp or any on-campus programs will be subject to all then-current New York State and Nassau County Department of Health requirements and guidance. Any individual visiting the Hofstra campus or attending on-campus programs or camps will be required to follow all such rules and University policies relating to health and safety. Participants will be notified of University policies prior to the start of any on-campus program.
